The Great Prairie AEA recently hosted its first-ever Assistive Technology Expo, led by Megan Farrell, Assistive Technology Specialist. The event brought together core academic team members — including school psychologists and special education consultants who serve districts across the agency — for an afternoon of hands-on learning and inspiration.

The Expo highlighted cutting-edge, literacy-based assistive technology tools and strategies designed to support access and engagement for all learners. Participants explored innovative ways technology can enhance communication, learning, and inclusion for students of all abilities.

From live demonstrations to expert-led breakout sessions, the event provided valuable opportunities for educators to connect, collaborate, and discover practical tools to take back to their schools.

A special thank-you to our presenters, attendees, and partners — including Everway, Talk To Me Technologies, and Crick Software — for making this inaugural event a success. Together, we’re unlocking potential and creating opportunities for every learner.
