Mandatory Reporter and Non-Mandatory Trainings

The Iowa AEA Professional Development Online Learning System offers mandatory and non-mandatory trainings online.  Trainings available through this system include Mandatory Reporter:  Child and Dependent Adult Abuse, Bloodborne Pathogens Training, medication administration trainings and other non-mandatory trainings.

There is a $25 fee for the Mandatory Reporter training for all users.  The other trainings are available to all employees in participating districts for no cost.  Use of this system is intended for employees of Iowa Area Education Agencies, employees of the public and private school districts they support, and other authorized users. Unauthorized use or distribution of passwords is prohibited.

A district password is required when registering into the system with a district or when changing districts.  District passwords can be obtained from your district system administrator.  If you are already registered into the system, but have forgotten your login information, your principal or  district system administrator may be able to assist you.

Please note as of July 1, 2015, system was updated.  If you have a previous account, an email address is required to login.  Email referenced on the account may not be current.  If your email has changed the old email can be used to access the database.  Then update your email once you establish your login.

Level I Investigator Training

The Iowa Department of Education and the Area Education Agencies will be conducting training for Level I Investigators online instead of via ICN.  To access the training visit the AEA Professional Development Online Learning System site.

A district password is required when registering into the system with a district or when changing districts.  District passwords can be obtained from your school district system administrator.  If you are already registered into the system, but have forgotten your login information, your school district system administrator may be able to assist you.

The manual (blue book) for all Chapter 102 (Abuse of Students by School Employees) Level I Investigators has been revised. It can be accessed through the DE web site.
