PS101616 - Instructional Designer: AEA PD Online, on behalf of the statewide AEA system, seeks an Instructional Designer (1 FTE), a creative individual to design, develop, and support online professional development opportunities for Iowa educators. The successful candidate will work with our statewide team in online course development and delivery, self-paced module development, project evaluation, teacher training, and other responsibilities related to distance learning applications.  This person should be motivated to work in a team environment, as well as to learn new skills related to distance learning, online technologies, web applications, and their uses in both professional development (adult learning) as well as K-12 student learning. Applicants should have knowledge of instructional design and online learning platforms.  Experience in an educational setting is desirable, as is familiarity with the AEA PD Online system. Minimum requirements include a college degree and related professional experience. Must be appropriately licensed by the Board of Educational Examiners. A Masters Degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field is a plus. The position will start July 1, 2017. (Open until filled)

AEA Assistive  Technology Statewide Lead
 
The AEA and Department of Education are now hiring a part-time position (20 days) available for the 2017-18 school year (starting July 1, 2017). This position will be sponsored by a Department contract in conjunction with an AEA. The purpose of the position is to focus on facilitating the AEA Assistive Technology Statewide Leadership group. Responsibilities will include scheduling and planning statewide leadership group meetings, developing a three- to five-year leadership plan, and supporting the use of assistive technology equipment, materials and resources critical for instructional/learning needs of students. Candidates would office from their current AEA office.
